Our attorney spotlight this month features Melisa Zwilling. She is a shareholder in our Birmingham, Alabama office and has been handling Medicare Secondary Payer issues for clients for over 20 years.

What do you do for fun?

I love being on the water, whether at the beach or lake. If I'm fishing, its even better! I also love woodworking projects and building furniture. I know how to use pretty much any power tool!

Do you have any pets?

My French Bulldog pup has my heart! She is sweet, sassy and precious. Just looking at her makes me laugh. She snorts like a pig and snores louder than any human I've ever known. She's just plain funny.

What is one of your favorite memories?

I took my daughter to Turks & Caicos for her 15th birthday. We both love to ride horses and we were able to ride them in the Caribbean. It was one of the most beautiful, surreal experiences ever. Being on the back of a horse when it was swimming is something I'll never forget.

What makes you the most proud?

My kiddos. I have a 16-year-old daughter and 11-year-old son. They are really good little humans. Both of them are smart, kind, compassionate people. I am absolutely certain they will grow up and do amazing things!
